Autumn Hollow Sanctuary
Animal & Earth Rescue

About Us

Autumn Hollow Sanctuary started when Twyla, a 12 year old girl, decided that she wanted to save animals. She looked at the world through eyes that were wiser than most adults ever even aspire to be. She, fortunately, has a mom who supported and shared in her goals and a dad who is willing to put up with a lot! So 20 beautiful acres were bought in the County of Lac Ste Anne in Alberta. From there it was trial and error. Evolution takes time and patience, not to mention money and elbow grease. But the animals started coming in, slowly and then in a deluge. It still comes in waves with slow periods and rushes. But every morning there is the prospect of adventure and learning on the horizon. Autumn Hollow now wants to send a message out to the world not only about saving animals but about saving ourselves and the planet we live on. This site is dedicated to just that.
Here you will find information about this sanctuary, tips on helping animals as well as living a simpler (or more complicated!) life to help Earth.

How Do We Do It?!?

Well of course it’s expensive!!!!!!!!!
We are very often asked how it is that we keep up with the financial costs of running the sanctuary. It started with our savings but that was soon depleted. Before operating the sanctuary, Autumn was a professional artist and author. Her little holiday turned out to be not so much of a holiday as and exercise in patience and determination. It did come to the point of knowing that she would have to get back to work. So now the Art of Autumn Domoslai is dedicated to supporting the sanctuary and its furry and feathered guests. You can visit our shop on this site and purchase a print, commission a painting or buy many of the other unique and amazing products available, all handmade with care and the best ingredients! Everything from jewellery (made by Twyla to hand-painted furniture to teas and soaps. There is always magick if you look hard enough and we have plenty of it here!
Autumn’s work features Faeries and Dragons and other marvelous things. We like to consider the sanctuary a place where the Faerie Folk come to find safe haven too. In turn, they bless the land and all who live here.
We also host two Gift and Bake sales each year for the Solstices (Winter and Summer). This is our open house time where you can come and visit, go for a walk, delight in home baked goodies or do your Christmas (or early Christmas!) shopping. We always have treats for humans and their friends.
All purchases are dedicated to keeping us going.
Other support comes through donations and gifts given by those who believe in our work.
If you would like to make a donation, please visit our Donation page to find out more information about what is needed.
