What do you charge for your animals?

Dogs: $250.00
Kittens: $100.00
Rabbits:$50.00

All other animal’s adoption fees are on a case by case basis. We house such a large variety of animals at any given time and many have such differing needs that is impossible to set one fee for them. We are no longer adopting out parrots at this time and are strictly offering sanctuary for them.

Why do you charge for your animals?

The nominal adoption fee charged is put towards the animal’s medical expenses and food and supplies while it is in our care. The adoption fee rarely covers the animal's expenses while in our care.

Where is your adoption facility?

Autumn Hollow is located a little SW of Alberta Beach, AB.
We do not advertise directions to the sanctuary to avoid abandonment of animals when we are not here. This is for the safety of the animals themselves. Yes, this has happened in the past and at the very least it leaves us no history of the animal or its situation.

How can I meet the animals?

Please call the phone number listed. We will then arrange for you to come out and have a visit. Please understand that not all animals pictured in this website are available for adoption and many will never be.

How is the choice made who gets the animal?

We make our decision based on many factors including the temperament of the animals. We have standards that must be met from the start of the adoption application process. We are confident that those who can offer a suitable forever home for our fur and feather babies will be more than agreeable to this process.
Autumn Hollow reserves the right to refuse any adoption request for reasons to be kept private and confidential within the administration of the sanctuary.

Do I have to spay or neuter? Can I breed the animal?

Included in the adoption contract is a clause requiring that the new owners spay or neuter their animal (where applicable) before a specified date. We will follow-up to ensure that this procedure has been completed by this date. Breeding of animals is strictly prohibited!

How can I donate?

If you would like to donate you can do so by sending in to Autumn Hollow, Site 111, Comp 27, RR1 Alberta Beach, AB T0E 0A1.
Donations do not need to be monetary. For a list of much needed items please go to our Donations page.

What does my donated money go towards?

100% of all money donated goes to Autumn Hollow operations, including veterinary costs and equipment. You can be assured that every dollar donated goes directly to helping feed, house or medically aid animals in need.

I have a pet that I can no longer keep. Can I bring it to Autumn Hollow?

Absolutely! That is what we are here for. The size of the animal will play a part in our decision to accept an animal due to space and size of facilities. We will do whatever we can to help you find a suitable place for your animal(s) if we are unable to accommodate you. Unfortunately we cannot take animals who may have a contagious illness. Such a scenario could be devastating to the population here.
